Leave a Bequest

Once you have provided for your loved ones, you may wish to include the CFS Foundation in your estate.

A bequest can make a real difference to the CFS Volunteers and their families who have suffered through death, injury, loss or damage of their own property whilst in the line of service.

Gifts and donations will ensure the CFS Foundation can continue to provide a range of support to volunteers and their families when they need it most. Bequests are vital to protect the financial stability of the CFS Foundation and ensure there are adequate funds to enable us to continue to support volunteer CFS firefighters when necessary.

Supporters interested in leaving a legacy to the CFS Foundation can request a copy of our special bequest booklet or refer to the details below:-

HOW TO MAKE A BEQUEST

There are three ways you can leave a lasting legacy to the CFS Foundation in your Will:

You can nominate:

  • A monetary or specific bequest
  • A residual bequest, or
  • A proportional bequest

1.      MONETARY OR SPECIFIC BEQUEST

A monetary or specific bequest may be money, property, stocks, shares, or insurance.

"I bequeath, free of all duties and taxes, the amount of $ or my units/shares in Trust/Ltd, or my real property situated at [insert title reference] having the title reference to the CFS Foundation Inc. ABN 39550248368 - PO Box 4197, Norwood South, South Australia  5067.  The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the CFS Foundation Inc. is an absolute discharge to my executor."

2.      RESIDUAL BEQUEST

A residual gift is where you can nominate to leave part or all of what is left of your estate, after provisions have been made for family and friends.

"I bequeath, free of all duties and taxes, the residue of my estate (or % of the residue of my estate), to the CFS Foundation Inc. ABN 39550248368 - PO Box 4197, Norwood South, South Australia  5067.  The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the CFS Foundation Inc. is an absolute discharge to my executor."

3.      PROPORTIONAL BEQUEST

A percentage bequest is where you can nominate to leave a specified percentage of your total estate.

"I bequeath, free of all duties and taxes, % of my estate to the CFS Foundation Inc. ABN 39550248368 - PO Box 4197, Norwood South, South Australia  5067.  The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the CFS Foundation Inc. is an absolute discharge to my executor."

On behalf of all the CFS volunteers we thank you for choosing to support the CFS Foundation with a gift in your Will.  It will ensure we can continue to help the self-less CFS Volunteers in South Australia.

The CFS Foundation receives no government funding.  We rely entirely on the generosity and philanthropy of our supporters.
