Leave a Bequest

Once you have provided for your loved ones, you may wish to include the CFS Foundation in your estate.

A bequest can make a real difference to the CFS volunteers and their families who have suffered through death, injury, loss or damage of their own property whilst in the line of service.

Gifts and donations will ensure the CFS Foundation can continue to provide a range of support to volunteers and their families when they need it most. Bequests are vital to protect the financial stability of the CFS Foundation and ensure there are adequate funds to enable us to continue to support volunteer CFS firefighters when necessary.

Supporters interested in leaving a legacy to the CFS Foundation can request a copy of our special bequest booklet or refer to the details below:-

HOW TO MAKE A BEQUEST

There are three ways you can leave a lasting legacy to the CFS Foundation in your Will:

You can nominate:

  • A monetary or specific bequest
  • A residual bequest, or
  • A proportional bequest

1. MONETARY OR SPECIFIC BEQUEST

A monetary or specific bequest may be money, property, stocks, shares, or insurance.

The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the CFS Foundation Inc. is an absolute discharge to my executor."

2. RESIDUAL BEQUEST

A residual gift is where you can nominate to leave part or all of what is left of your estate, after provisions have been made for family and friends.

The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the CFS Foundation Inc. is an absolute discharge to my executor."

3. PROPORTIONAL BEQUEST

A percentage bequest is where you can nominate to leave a specified percentage of your total estate.
