On Friday the 6th May, our CEO, Gloria Berni attended the National Memorial Service on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra. The service was to commemorate those members of the fire and emergency services community who died in the line of duty.
Among those who were honoured was our own CFS Senior Firefighter Louise Hincks, who lost her life battling a fire in the State's Lower South-East earlier this year. Louise’s family attended the event and her two daughters Addie and Alice accepted Louise’s medal.
It was a beautiful tribute to those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
