Lee is a pragmatic leader with extensive experience in strategic procurement, operational logistics and organisational leadership. He achieved significant strategic procurement outcomes during his eight years as Director Operational Infrastructure and Logistics with the South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS), a role he held until his retirement in 2024.

After joining the CFS in 1999, Lee held a number of roles, including State Training Officer. During this time, he was involved in the development and delivery of a broad range of operational and Incident Management training programs, while also leading the establishment and ongoing maintenance of the CFS as a Registered Training Organisation.

A dedicated CFS volunteer since 1981, Lee has served in numerous operational and leadership roles throughout his volunteer career and continues to serve as a firefighter with the Norton Summit-Ashton CFS. Since 2001, he has also held leadership positions within the CFS State Command Centre and undertaken Logistics Officer roles as part of Incident Management Teams across South Australia and interstate.

Lee is passionate about contributing to the exceptional work of the CFS Foundation Board and helping ensure timely support is available to CFS volunteers and their families when they need it most.
